Saving a copy is easy. Proving it remained unchanged is not.
Webpages change. Files are replaced. Documents are edited. Online content may disappear completely.
Beaver Proof freezes a specific digital state in a sealed package. Store it, share it or submit it as supporting documentation. Anyone receiving it can verify that the preserved content remains exactly as it was when sealed.
Choose what to seal
Webpages, files or photos.
Two creator apps preserve different kinds of digital content in the same verifiable proof format.
Seal webpages
Beaver Page Proof
Capture the state of a webpage before its content changes or disappears. The integrated browser can preserve content that is visible after you sign in.
Beaver Proof Share creates a watermarked copy with a short proof ID and a direct verification link. Anyone with the link can check the sealed photo—without installing an app.
Capture a photo, keep the untouched original and create a watermarked copy with a public Beaver Proof link. Anyone can check its timestamp and recorded details in a browser—without an account or verifier app.
From a digital state on your Mac to a proof another person can verify.
01
Preserve
Capture a webpage or select the files and documents you want to preserve.
02
Seal
Beaver Proof creates a fixed package containing the preserved material.
03
Timestamp
A unique fingerprint receives an independent OpenTimestamps timestamp.
04
Share
Keep the package in your archive or send it to another person.
05
Verify
The recipient checks the package independently and free of charge.
⌁
Like a digital seal
The sealed state cannot be changed unnoticed.
Every completed proof package has a unique cryptographic fingerprint. Changing even the smallest part creates a different fingerprint: the timestamp no longer matches and verification fails.
Independent by design (macOS, iOS)
Verify every proof. Free.
Beaver Proof Verifier is the receiving side of the ecosystem. Open a proof package and check whether its sealed contents still match the independently recorded timestamp.
Verification requires an internet connection to retrieve public timestamp and Bitcoin blockchain data.
The package still matches the state originally sealed
The preserved content was not modified afterward
It does not confirm
That every statement in the content is true
Who originally created or captured the content
The technology behind the proof
Open standards. Public blockchain data.
Beaver Proof combines established external infrastructure with a simple workflow for normal users.
01
OpenTimestamps
OpenTimestamps creates a standard timestamp proof from the package fingerprint. Its public calendar services collect timestamp requests and anchor them in Bitcoin.
The Bitcoin blockchain provides the public, chronological record used by the timestamp. Your proof package and its original contents are not stored in the blockchain.
03
Blockstream
During verification, Beaver Proof Verifier retrieves public Bitcoin transaction and block information through Blockstream's public blockchain API.
This website describes the functions and intended uses of the Beaver Proof applications. We make reasonable efforts to keep this information accurate and current, but do not guarantee that all information is always complete, error-free or suitable for a particular purpose.
Proof packages
Beaver Proof creates packages intended to make subsequent changes detectable and to provide a verifiable timestamp. Verification does not confirm that statements contained in a document, file or webpage are true. It does not certify authorship, ownership, identity or legal validity.
No legal advice
Beaver Proof is a technical tool and does not provide legal advice, legal certification or notarization. Users are responsible for determining whether a proof package is suitable for their intended purpose.

Purchases and downloads through the Mac App Store are additionally subject to Apple's applicable terms and conditions. Mandatory statutory rights remain unaffected.

Beaver Proof applications
The applications process selected webpages, files and documents locally on the user's Mac. Proof package contents are not uploaded to Beaver Proof servers. To request timestamps, the applications communicate with public OpenTimestamps services. During verification, Beaver Proof Verifier retrieves public Bitcoin transaction and block data through Blockstream's public API. These connections reveal the user's IP address and technical request data to the respective external provider, but do not transmit the original proof package contents.

Public photo proofs and reports
When a Beaver Proof Share photo is published, Beaver Proof stores a proof manifest, OpenTimestamps data and a 16×16 preview. Optional location is included only when the user enabled it in the app. Original and full-size photos are not uploaded. If you report a public proof, we store the proof ID, the email address you enter, optional comment, IP address and time so we can review the report and follow up.
